Lead Electrical Engineer - Build the Electronics That Power Next-Generation Autonomous Defense Systems!
Austin, TX | On-site
Opportunity Summary
A venture-backed defense technology startup is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to take ownership of the electrical architecture behind a new generation of autonomous counter-drone systems. These machines are designed to operate at the tactical edge, where reliability, speed, and ruggedness are non-negotiable. The role centers on designing and delivering the electrical backbone that enables high-speed sensing, processing, and actuation in real-world operational environments. This position is ideal for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys building physical systems from the ground up. You will lead the design of complex printed circuit boards, integrate advanced sensor arrays, and develop power systems capable of supporting real-time robotics and edge computing. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with engineers expected to move quickly from concept to working hardware. If you want to design electronics that transition rapidly from the lab to operational deployment, this is a rare opportunity to help shape a critical platform from the early stages.
