Job Duties

  • Perform hands-on fabrication of composite materials to support both development and production efforts
  • Execute mechanical testing across a variety of methods, including destructive and non-destructive evaluations
  • Set up, operate, and maintain testing equipment and shop tools
  • Conduct coupon-level and component-level testing using standardized fixtures and procedures
  • Record and document test results with a high level of accuracy and traceability
  • Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and test setups to maintain consistent operation
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across testing processes and manufacturing workflows
  • Assist with general shop operations, including material preparation and equipment upkeep


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working with fiber-reinforced composite testing
  • Experience performing mechanical testing using standardized methods and fixtures
  • Background working in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
  • Ability to operate fabrication and testing equipment independently
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Comfortable working across mechanical systems with exposure to fluid and basic electrical setups
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a hands-on production environment
  • Willingness to work full-time on-site


Preferred Experience

  • Experience operating CNC equipment such as routers or similar machinery
  • Familiarity with building and executing more advanced test setups at the component level
  • Background in composite layup, material preparation, or part fabrication
  • Experience working with metal components using standard shop tools
  • Exposure to quality systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100

Compensation Details

$30.00 - $60.00 / hr
